* Bari crack Climbing : 1st ever Bhramanti's such successful climb on one of the crack route on one of the mountain of Bari Village near Sunday 1 & 2 Pinnacle. The place is located near Tryambak/Nashik. This route was climbed in past 1st time in 2006 . This was Bhramanti's 1st success on such cracks. As per past history the crack was climbed once by a group Shailbhramar and we are the 2nd one. The climbing was lead by Kaivalya. The lead climbers were Kishor & Hemant. The initial 75% climb was done by Hemant and the rest finishing by Kishor. We attempted this crack in the month of Feb. But due to loose rocks and big over overhang that attempt became route opening attempt. This time our Climber made it happen. The team was supported by Prashant, Akshay. They found difficulty while winding up the climb in the dark. Due to rock fall one of our rope got damaged which is later replaced by new one while ascending. The team had also climbed Anjaneri Navri pinnacle, initially lead by Prashant his first ever attempt and later finished the climb by Hemant. We congratulate the entire team lead by Kaivalya.

* Rajgadh Trek : 11 members team of Bhramanti successfully completed the Rajgadh Trek. The team explored the entire fort during this 2 days trek. The team was lead by Kiran assisted by Joseph. We congratulate all participants & volunteers to make this trek successful.

*** Himalayan Trek to Shingola: 8 Members team of Bhramanti successfully completed the Himalayan Trek to Shingola. The trek started on 19th Aug 07 & returned back on 3rd Sept 07. The entire team is in good health. The total trek distance was 120 KM & the max height gain was 5001m, that's the place called Shingo-la. We congratulate the entire team & the leader for this success.This was 4th Himalayan trek of Bhramanti. We thanks to all participants for making this a successful event. We thanks to all organising team (Kaivalya, Bhola, Kiran), who made the smooth execution of the event.

*** Duke Nose Climbed : A golden day in the rock climbing history of Bhramanti where team of 9 member team of Bhramanti climbed 800ft Duke Nose successfully. This is first ever such high climb ever done under the banner of Bhramanti. Hats off to all the climbers. The team was lead by Kaivalya V. and Deputy Rajesh R. The team members participated in this climb were Prashant, Mahendra, Sameer, Hemant, Suresh & Kishor. The last 300ft was climbed 2 times. We congratulates all members. photo link.

* Republic Day Celebration Trek and Climb :
12 member team lead by Rajan and Kaivalya attempted Vanalingi pinnacle on this occasion. This pinnacle is near Jivdhan fort, Naneghat Area (Malshej Region). The ht. of the pinnacle is 425ft. The grade of the pinnacle is Very Difficult. We climbed 350ft (Till the traverse) and decided to windup due to time constraint. It was an awesome climbing experience for Bhramanti. Rajan lead the climb while the entire route planning/rope management had been done by Kaivalya support ed by Rajesh. Also the support team did a good team work specially Anurag, Amit, Prashant, Anil, Hemant, Milind & Family. We thanks to the Team Bhramanti for good support.

14 member team lead by Nitin and Apurva explored the Mahabaleshawar area. Started from Arthur seat point and visited Chnadragadh. Further visit to Fort Mangalgadh has been cancelled. We thanks to all Volunteers making the successful tradition of Trek and climb celebrating the republic day of India.

* Avandh Patta Trek: 20 members team of Bhramanti trekked to Avandh & Patta fort successfully. These forts are in the Igatpuri region. It was 2 days trek lead by Ajay Kalashi. The group had little difficulty to trace the two caves on the first day but due to timely concluded the day trek enabled the team to trace the cave next day with fully charged motive. They descent dow to Konkanwadi and further trek to Taked to travel further to reach nearest railway station. The team was well supported by Zee group of participants. We thanks to all members and leaders for the cooperation. We Congratulate to all for the success.

* Sunday 1 & 2 routes Climbing: 13 members team of Bhramanti climbed the Sunday 1 and Sunday 2 pinnacle in a single day. This is third successful event of such kind in Bhramanti's history. This time team size was bigger than our previous such attempt . Mr. Doug Johnson of USA was part of the climbing team. The Sunday 1 route was of the grade difficult. Kishor lead this route while Sunday 2 of medium grade was lead by Rajesh. The ascent took 4-5 hrs. We thanks to all team members for the best support.

* Telbaila 2 routes Climbing: 12 members team of Bhramanti climbed the Right wall Left route(RWLR) & Left wall right route(LWRR) in a single day. This is second successful event of such kind in Bhramanti's history. This time team size was bigger than our previous such attempt where Only 3 climbers attempted the pinnacle (Ghodyacha kada & Anjaneri Navri in a sequence). The Right wall Left route climb was of the grade difficult. Kaivalya lead the RWLR while LWRR lead by Rajesh & Suresh. The Climb took total 8 hrs. We thanks to all team members for the best support.

* Nandadevi East Base Camp Trek: 7 members team of Bhramanti has successfully completed Nandadevi East Base Camp Trek. We congratulate all successful members. Its 3rd such Himalayan Trek of Bhramanti. The team had faced various difficulty in achieving the task due to climatic conditions. The base camp is at the height of 13500ft. Total distance covered is 120km in 8 days. Mr. Bhaskar Gangal who is president of newly formed society Bhramanti Mountaineers was oldest person(86 yrs) of the team. Other team members Apurva(Deputy), Puneet, Roel, Prakash, Purushottam, Vyankatesh & Mohit (Leader).

* Appointment as Asst. Secretary for Himalayan Club(International): Rajan Rikame has been appointed as Assistant Secretary (International) for Himalayan Club from August 2006. Himalayan Club is one of the oldest club of the country and is blessed by people like Mr. Harish Kapadia.

* Bhramanti Annual Day 2006: 2nd Annual Day of Bhramanti had been celebrated on 27th May 2006 at Samarth Library, Malad. All activities during had presented in the form of Presentation & Talks regarding Trekking, Climbing etc. Mr. Shantanu Pandit was the Chief Guest of the function. Nitin More, Rishi Ravindran has been awarded Best Wanderer & Best Support prize. Best Photographer has been awarded to Jyoti Raut & P\Krishnadas Warrier. * Irshal New route Climbing: 12 members team of Bhramanti climbed the West Face crack near water cistern. The climb was of the grade difficult but due to loose rock structure it became very difficult. The new member Kirshore lead the crack in the skillful manner. It was Bhramanti's 1st ever virgin route attempt. The route was identified by Kaivalya & he was the Leader of the climb. We thanks to all team members for the best support.

*** BMC International Summer Climbing meet 2006: Rajan Rikame our Managing Trustee will be attending the International summer meet 2006 organised by the British Mountaineering Club representing Himalayan Club/India. It's one week meet where all countries participating will be exchanging current happenings in this field and will be actually doing rock climbing in the North of Wales (Plas Y Brenin). It's grate honor for us since first time such participation from India. On 6th May 2006 at the opening ceremony of new office of the HMC, President Dr. M. S. Gill flagged off the three members with warm wishes. Also the grate personality Mr. Harish Kapadia along with Divyesh Mooni & Rajesh Gadgil wished the flying team on this occasion. Its proud moment to all of us.

* Rock Climbing Boot Camp: 9 members participated in the Rock Climbing boot camp organised by Bhramanti for the new comers who all are interested in Rock Climbing. During the course they learned basic techniques of RC, Climbing terminologies, Introduction to Climbing gear and usage. Practically the members practiced bouldering, Ascending using Zoom, Descending using the Descender & knots used for climbing. We congratulate all members and the leader for executing the activity successfully.

Rockclimbing.com has nominated Rajan Rikame as the Area Manager for India. The major responsibility will be managing the routes published by various users. Currently it has 122 routes already published. This web site is one of the information gateway to the world about rock climbing in various parts of the world.
